  • My experience was in 1993 when I was a kid, I came with all my family. My reaction when I first got there was "wow" and I hope I don't get lost lol.. the first ride twisters I went on with my little brother, and when the ride started we starded laughing, crying cause of laughing so hard. And when the ride stoped we were still laughing it was such a great ride we really needed that laughter n excitement. Specially that bieng our first ride at the fair turned us for trying other great rides like that the whole night we went on every ride. Not once not twice, three times stood in line patiently in each one. Was the best night ever it was the talk of the rest of the year for us. We told family, friends at school even our neighborhoods. And the next year we went we saw our friends from school. It was epic. I recommend people who havnt gone please go take your kids its a blast bieng there. Ever since then I still go every year. I always take some one who hasn't gone with me. And they fall in love just like I did when I was 12 years old the first time I went. And the wristband for unlimited rides is the way to go. Please go people youll have a blast n the best memories of los angeles county fair.

  • Make sure you leave with more than just 15 mins left before you get to the shuttle. It was a wait to get back to the train. Had it not been for my bike to take myself back, I for sure felt like the tram route would have left me high and dry and stranded out there. And there's really no practical way to get back, the bus routes on Google say it's about a five hour trip of transfers. And you can get back from Vegas faster than that.. food for thought. Aside from that, the food's very expensive there too..

  • The should emphasize that trains stop at the Fairplex ONLY on Saturdays and Sundays. Otherwise, the nearest train stop is Pomona (North), which is at least 1.3 mi. distant from an entrance to the fairgrounds, so passengers can either walk, bike or use the Foothill Transit bus #197. The nearest bus stop is 0.3 miles south of the train stop (~7 min. walk) and not at all visible. Metrolink, Foothill Transit, the City of Pomona and the Fairplex provide no way-finding signage or schedules at the train and bus stops, so people unfamiliar with the terrain frequently get lost.
