ROSECRANS AVENUE & BLOOMFIELD AVENUE BRIDGE PROJECT

*** A full freeway closure of southbound I-5 at Rosecrans Avenue is scheduled Thursday, Feb. 4 and Saturday, Feb. 5, allowing crews to set falsework beams for the Rosecrans Avenue undercrossing. Southbound I-5 will be closed at Rosecrans Avenue on the following dates/times:

• Thursday, Feb. 4 from 11:59 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5
  
  
• Saturday, Feb. 6 from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. 

During the closure of southbound I-5, motorists will be directed to exit southbound I-5 at Rosecrans Avenue and will proceed directly onto the southbound I-5 on-ramp at Rosecrans Avenue across the street. For more information regarding this work, please visit the project Google map. 

The week of Jan. 31, falsework installation for the Rosecrans Avenue bridge will continue. To complete this work, westbound Rosecrans Avenue will be closed to through traffic underneath I-5, nightly between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 31 through Thursday, Feb. 4. 

Motorists will be directed to follow the detour routes highlighted in green on the map below, when eastbound Rosecrans Avenue is closed at I-5.

In addition to this work, crews are preparing to open the new Silverbow Avenue pedestrian overcrossing in the next four to six weeks.
