IMPERIAL HIGHWAY & PIONEER BOULEVARD PROJECT

The northbound I-5 on-ramp at Imperial Highway has closed 12 months. Motorists are directed to use the northbound I-605 on-ramp at Firestone Boulevard, then transition back onto northbound I-5, as an alternate while the northbound I-5 Imperial Highway on-ramp is closed. The closure area is shown in red on the map below; the detour route is shown in green

Pile driving activity is underway adjacent to the northbound I-5 near Imperial Highway and will be ongoing for approximately the next six weeks. This work will be conducted intermittently, Monday through Fridays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Please be advised that pile driving work may be loud and disruptive due to equipment noise, vibration and pounding related to this operation.

As crews work on Imperial Highway, Norwalk Boulevard and Pioneer Boulevard bridges at I-5, one lane in each direction will be closed on each street (at I-5) during the daytime, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

ROSECRANS AVENUE & BLOOMFIELD AVENUE BRIDGE PROJECT

At 9 p.m. on Friday, March 10, crews plan to close N. Firestone Blvd. from Rosecrans Avenue to Bloomfield / Markdale Avenue, for approximately six months. This closure is needed as crews reconstruct N. Firestone Blvd., complete pile driving adjacent to I-5 and complete soundwall construction. The closure area is shown in red on the map below; the detour map is shown in green.

Rosecrans Avenue may be closed to all through traffic (motorists and pedestrians) in both directions underneath I-5, Monday through Fridays between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Nighttime closures on Rosecrans Avenue will continue intermittently for the next six months. For detour information visit the project Google Map.

Pile driving activity adjacent to northbound I-5 near Rosecrans Avenue, will resume on Wednesday, March 15 and will be ongoing for one to two weeks. This work will be conducted intermittently, Monday through Fridays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Please be advised that pile driving work may be loud and disruptive due to equipment noise, vibration and pounding related to this operation. When this work is underway, flaggers will be on site to direct traffic, while crews transfer piles from the contractor's yard onto the construction site.

Once this ramp closes, motorists will be detoured to proceed west on Alondra Boulevard, then north on Carmenita Road to access the northbound I-5 on-ramp. Heavy traffic and delays in the area are expected. Motorists are urged to use alternative routes whenever possible.  The closure area is shown in red on the map below; the detour route is shown in green.

Freeway Drive under the Valley View bridge has been closed to through traffic and clearing and grubbing operations are ongoing.

On Thursday, March 16 crews will conduct pile driving activities along Valley View Avenue, adjacent to I-5. Please be advised that pile driving work may be loud and disruptive due to equipment noise, vibration and pounding.

Crews will be removing asphalt between Arbor Place and Park Place, weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Multiple utility relocations are ongoing throughout the construction site. There will be intermittent lane reductions on both N. Firestone Boulevard and S. Firestone Boulevard. Work will be performed Monday through Friday.
