The Rail 2 Rail® program allows Metrolink Monthly Pass holders along the Orange and Ventura County corridors to travel on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains within the station pairs of their pass at no additional charge, including Saturday and Sunday. Metrolink passengers simply show their Monthly Pass and board any Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train or bus to their destination. These additional trains are not available to holders of One-Way and Round-Trip tickets or 7-Day Passes. The Rail 2 Rail® program does NOT include travel on Coast Starlight trains.
Amtrak Pacific Surfliner Monthly Pass holders may ride any Metrolink train within the station pairs on their pass at no additional charge.
Amtrak 10-Trip tickets are only accepted on Metrolink trains that operate on the Ventura County Line between Burbank-Bob Hope Airport and Los Angeles Union Station. All Metrolink ticket types are accepted on Amtrak trains that operate between Burbank-Bob Hope Airport and Los Angeles Union Station.
Please review the policy for unaccompanied minors traveling on Amtrak that applies when travelling on Pacific Surfliner trains.
Rail 2 Rail® blackout dates are Wednesday, November 21; Thursday, November 22 and Sunday, November 25, 2012. Metrolink Monthly Passes will not be accepted for travel on Pacific Surfliner trains during the blackout dates.
Metrolink Monthly Pass holders can use any Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train on these schedules for any part of their trip covered by their pass as part of the Rail 2 Rail® program. These additional trains are not available to holders of One-Way and Round Trip tickets or 7-Day Passes.
Note: All Metrolink ticket types are accepted on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains between Los Angeles and Burbank-Bob Hope Airport stations.
