• Bridge widening operations: Crews will continue girder installation at night, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., beneath I-5 at Alameda Avenue. 

• Empire Avenue Retaining Wall: Crews continue to work on the Empire Avenue retaining wall. Drilling will occur during the day. Residents may notice noise and/or vibration. 

• Northbound I-5 Soundwall Reconstruction: Crews are reconstructing a section of soundwall along northbound I-5 between Jackson Street and Keystone Street. Workers will be setting scaffolding and starting block work. Construction of the wall will continue through September 2015.  For more information click here.  

• Gabion Wall: Crews will begin delivering rock to construct a gabon wall (temporary retaining wall) near the Animal Shelter.  This work will be performed Monday through Saturday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.  

• Leland Way Soundwall: Crews will be performing finish work on the new soundwall. The will also remove the old soundwall, barrier and pavement on the freeway side.

• Additional Retaining Wall/Soundwall Work: Work will occur at the following locations:

o I-5 Empire Bridge

o Northbound Burbank Boulevard on-ramp adjacent to Walnut Avenue

  

• Victory Place Bridge: Crews will excavate and install large concrete blocks underground for the bridge shoring. Residents may notice some noise and/or vibration.

• Temporary Railroad Tracks:   Crews continue to lay tracks adjacent to Victory Place.

• Storm Drain: Crews will be excavating near Sharky's to construct a storm drain. This work will occur mostly at night, 9 p.m. to 10 a.m.

• Utility Work:  Crews will perform underground utility work on Maria Street and at Valpreda Street and Empire Avenue.  Work will occur from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• Alameda Avenue will be closed under I-5 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Signed detours will be provided.

• The northbound I-5 eastbound and westbound Alameda Avenue on-ramps are closed through July 20, 2015 at 6 a.m. for concrete paving.

• From Friday, July 17, at 6 p.m. to Monday, July 20, at 6 a.m., Buena Vista Street will be closed in both directions between Winona Avenue and San Fernando Boulevard. The I-5 Buena Vista Street on- and off-ramps will remain OPEN during this closure.  A signed detour will be provided. For more information click here.

• One lane of Victory Place will be closed near the Animal Shelter, Monday, July 20, through Saturday, July 25 from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

• Northbound Maria Street at Empire Avenue will be closed during the day as crews continue utility work. Some parking on the east side of Maria Street will be temporarily unavailable while this work is underway. 

• The I-5 northbound Scott Road off-ramp is closed through 2018. This closure is necessary to construct the north end of the cap over the Burbank Western Channel and soundwalls to minimize traffic noise in the adjacent residential neighborhoods.  For more information click here.
