Pink’s Hot Dogs, Inc. has been a Hollywood landmark since 1939. This hot dog stand serves more than 2,000 hot dogs and 200 hamburgers a day – but it has not always been the famed institution it is today.

Paul and Betty Pink founded Pink's Hot Dogs in 1939 with a pushcart they purchased for $50, using money they borrowed from Betty’s mother. The couple leased the land on which the pushcart stood for $15 per month. At the time, hot dogs sold for 10 cents, and cokes were just a nickel. Pink’s offered curb service and was lucky to sell 100 hot dogs a day.

Over the past 78 years, Pink’s has expanded and gained prominence due to attention from numerous celebrity patrons. It has now been featured in movies, TV shows, food channels, travel channels and travel books.

In addition to the original location on La Brea in Hollywood, hot dog fanatics can find Pink’s at 13 distinct locations across SoCal -- including the Del Amo Mall in Torrance, the Brea Mall in Brea, the Camarillo Premium Outlets, Universal CityWalk, Raging Waters in San Dimas and the Orange County and Los Angeles County Fair.
